Daily itinerary

  • 6:30 AM : Pick-up from your hotel in Labuan Bajo.

  • 7:00 AM : Departure to Padar Island.

  • 8:15 AM : Arrive at Padar Island. Start hiking to the top of the hill.

  • 9:45 AM : Finish trekking and taking pictures, back to the speadboat. Departure to Pink Beach.

  • 10:00 AM : Arrive at Pink Beach. Snorkelling or chill, and enjoying the incredible color of the sand.

  • 11:00 AM : Departure to Komodo Island.

  • 11:20 AM : Arrive at Komodo Island. Medium-length easy trekking (- 2,5 km, approx. 1,5 hours) to observe the Komodo dragons in their natural habitat.

  • 12:30 PM : Trekking finishes. Savor your lunch on the island. Possibility to buy some refreshment or souvenir (cash only)

  • 13:00 PM : Departure to Taka Makassar.

  • 13:30 PM : Arrive at Taka Makassar, the “small Maldives of Komodo”. Swim or simply bathe in the sun on this tiny white sandy beach surrounded by the crystal-clear waters of the Flores Sea.

  • 14:15 PM : Departure to Manta Point.

  • 14:25 PM : Arrive at Manta Point, Finger’s crossed you’ll be able to spot one manta and snorkel alongside this majestic and playful animal. Caution, currents can be strong in this area !

  • 15:00 PM : Departure to Turtle Bay.

  • 15:20 PM: Arrive at Turtle Bay. Snorkel in the middle of a coral garden . How many turtles will you be able to spot?

  • 16:20: Departure back to Labuan Bajo.

    Padar viewpoint

    Trekking ⎟815 stairs ⎟ 30–45 min to the top

    This moderate to challenging hike rewards you with one of the most iconic views in Indonesia—overlooking three spectacular bays.

    There are three viewpoints along the way, so you don’t need to reach the very top to enjoy the breathtaking panorama.

    We usually arrive early and are among the first on the pier, but the earlier you start, the better your chance to enjoy the summit in peace—before the crowds arrive.

    And if you're lucky, you might spot wild deer roaming the beach on your way back to the speedboat!

    Pink beach

    Famous for its pink sands—tinted by crushed red coral—this beach is one of Komodo’s most photogenic spots. You’ll find it on almost every traveler’s Instagram feed, and for good reason.

    After the Padar Island hike, this is your first chance to cool off in the water.

    Grab your snorkel: the marine life here is vibrant, and you can follow the coastline for a truly magical swim.

    Komodo Island

    This is it—the legendary home of the Komodo dragon, the largest lizard on Earth. You’ll trek for about 1.5 hours (around 2.5 km) across a wild, rugged landscape : dry savannah and patches of forest. The island is teeming with life: deer, wild boars, tropical birds… and of course, the dragons themselves.

    You’ll be guided by a local ranger from the nearby village—specially trained to keep you safe while helping you spot wildlife in their natural habitat.

    After the walk, Komodo Island makes a perfect spot to enjoy your lunch before heading off to the next adventure.

  • Clear turquoise ocean water with small fish visible, a sandy shoreline with some greenery, and mountains in the distance under a partly cloudy blue sky.

    Taka Makassar

    This dreamy, crescent-shaped sandbank sits right in the middle of the sea—surrounded by insanely clear turquoise water. It’s the perfect place to kick back after lunch, float around, or just take it all in.

    Nicknamed “the little Maldives of Komodo,” it’s also great for a bit of easy snorkeling around the edges. One of those places that feels almost too good to be real.

  • Manta Point

    One of the most famous spots in Komodo National Park. If you're lucky, you'll see manta rays gracefully floating by, stopping to get cleaned by tiny fish. Snorkeling with these gentle creatures is truly unforgettable.

    Just a heads-up: currents can be strong here, so always stick close to your guide.

    Best time to see mantas is from November to April during the rainy season, but they can show up anytime if you're lucky!
